The artist began his career in Porto, in the Faculty of Visual Arts, where he worked for the Cerveira Biennial.
Through her artistic practice, diversified in painting, installations and videos, Marianna London investigates the concepts of existence and the human unconscious .
The paintings take the viewer into a new dimension, a semi-unexplored universe.
The current Milanese period fostered a more intimate and personal approach to painting, which he adapted to his own artistic language: according to the artist, painting is the language used by the unconscious in an attempt to communicate with consciousness.
I am obsessed with painting.
I'm creating more and more intimacy with this language.
Painting came to me through a dream,
as a way of investigating an
introspective and personal universe.
All of my paintings have a story and most
started as a way of elaborating a trauma and
existential questions. The trauma that I thought was only mine, I
found out is at the deeph of all human beings.
