L'artista ha iniziato il suo percorso a Porto, nella facoltà di Arti Visive, dove ha lavorato per la Biennale di Cerveira.
Attraverso la sua pratica artistica, diversificata in pittura, installazioni e video, Marianna London indaga i concetti di esistenza e inconscio umano.
I dipinti portano lo spettatore all'interno di una dimensione nuova, un universo semi-inesplorato.
L'attuale periodo milanese ha favorito un approccio più intimo e personale con la pittura che ha adattato al proprio linguaggio artistico: secondo l'artista la pittura è il linguaggio usato dall'inconscio nel tentativo di comunicare con la coscienza.
I am obsessed with painting.
I'm creating more and more intimacy with this language.
Painting came to me through a dream,
as a way of investigating an
introspective and personal universe.
All of my paintings have a story and most
started as a way of elaborating a trauma and
existential questions. The trauma that I thought was only mine, I
found out is at the deeph of all human beings.
